Old Gold & Warm Bronze Dramatic Smokey Eye Makeup Look

YAY! Two more days until I officially move, love bunnies. I have to show all of you around my new makeup room, and closet! The architecture is absolutely beautiful, and beyond my dreams of how I wanted my room to look. Aside from this update, also know towards the end of June-July I will be in California with my managers, Oscar Benjamin, and Laura Trueman for a full blown photo shoot! Since you won't see me much in between those days, I decided to do a smoldering makeup look, as a fun tribute to you cuties! This is look is amazing for those with warmer undertones, and if done correctly can even adhere to cooler undertones if one washes the colors down to muted/dusty hues. I hope you all enjoy. Also, feel free to comment on any photos, just because I won't be doing looks, doesn't mean I won't be available :)!

I used my own custom blended foundation for any
blemishes that were visible!

Autumnal Fire Makeup Look

Most people generally prefer to use warmer tones, come the colder months. Others, like myself tend to gravitate towards the warmth of Autumn, and continue to embrace it year around! That being said, here is a little glammie makeup look I wore from today that is 100% Autumnal Fire ;). With molten tones of copper to warm bronze, and red-orange kissable lips with a tint of gold on top, you're sure to slay the day in this fabulous look!

Please know the colors presented here will adhere DIFFERENTLY to everyone's unique undertones and skintones! For example, someone cool toned will look extremely harsh with this color combination, and I'd advise to look at my softer, and more dusty makeup combinations. Someone equally as fair as me with either neutral or warm undertones will rock the heck out of this look, but should be careful as to knowing in cool lighting (rainy days), the shades will look harsh, but in the sunlight (average Summer days) you will SPARKLE. Those with medium to deep skin tones easily can pull off these shades, for of course IF they're neutral-warm toned! I hope you loves enjoy, XOXO.

Softer combinations:
Smokey Warm Toned Makeup Look (very soft, yet rich hues)

No foundation was used!

Morphe Brushes - 25A Copper Spice Eyeshadow Palette: Shade 2 (dusted into the crease, heavily), Shade 5 (lightly on lower lash lines), Shade 10 (gently blended into crease), Shade 16 (applied damp across my entire lid space), Shade 17 (center of lids, to outer thirds)

Neutral Mauve Spring Makeup Look

I for one LOVE to wear color. Whether it be a warm magenta, or a sizziling maze, living in color is the way to be, cuties! Though that might be true, sometimes it's best to rock a neutral face, paired with a complimentary, and dashing clothing color to prevent a clashing of hues. Clothing should speak for itself, but it shouldn't upstand one's facial featues in ANY way. I always believe attention should remain on the face, but should return to your seasonal color palette shades (what you're wearing)! With that all being said, today, rocking a lilac/mauve dress, I kept my lips Spring ready, yet demure, and my shadow shimmery, yet muted. This neutral, and easily done look is PURRFECT for any clothing color combination that leans warm/clear/ or fresh, and easily works for the warmer months since each product used is long wearing, and smudge proof! I hope you love bunnies enjoy, and I hope especially all of you are having an AMAZING Memorial Day Weekend XOXO.

No foundation, nor primer was used!
(you can add whatever you like here)
Turns out all my "hormonal" breakouts from last year
were due to the foundations/methods I was using on my face.
Seems ALL manufactured products caused severe breakouts for me...
hence why I make my own foundation nowadays, if it's needed!
Anastasia Beverly Hills - Liquid LipstickPure Hollywood

Too Faced Cosmetics - Chocolate Bon Bons Palette: Almond Truffle (all over color, kept in the crease), Satin Sheets (applied damp on the lids),
Jeffree Star Cosmetics - Androgyny Eyeshadow Palette: Androgyny (crease), Safe World (soften up any harsh lines)

Shell Pink Eye Widening Makeup Look

Happy Wednesday, love bunnies! Instead of a typical "here's my makeup of the day" tutorial, I aimed towards a more eye widening makeup look, that will work on ANY complexion, since shell pink, and my highlight color of soft gold adhere to numerous undertones, and skin tones. The trick behind making one's eyes look "BIGGER" comes down to complimentary colors. For example, using white on the waterlines looks very unnatural to me, and really does nothing for my round almond shaped eyes. However, a contrasting warm brown on the waterlines instantly perks my eyes OPEN, and when transferred to my upper waterlines, creates a wider outline, thus making my eyes seem even bigger than they are. Along with waterline colors, methods of mascara application, lipstick color, and shadow application matter, too! Read along to see what products I used, and HOW I used them. By the way, at the bottom of this blog post, I embedded the first part of the Little Mermaid's "Part of Your World" song that you cuties have been asking me to sing since last week!! ENJOY :)!

Sugarpill Cosmetics - Liquid Lipstick, Trinket
The color of lipstick you choose will 100% affect the way your eyes reflect, and how "big" they appear. I chose Trinket by Sugarpill since this shade of light mauve leans more peachy on me, which compliments my skin tone beautifully, and the gold flecks accent the gold/green towards the center of my eyes wonderfully, thus pulling the entire look together, and keeping the focus on MY EYES. If you have green eyes, try a soft nude, a medium mauve, or a purple based pink! If you have beautiful amber to deep chocolate brown eyes try a warm nude, a mocha color, or a sensual warm mauve. For those who have hazel eyes, stick with pure mauve's, slight pinks, and purple based browns (mahogany)!

Anastasia Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade, Auburn
Well defined eyebrows will draw ALL the attention to your eyes, however, make sure your brows look natural enough that one doesn't notice your fuzzy beauties FIRST! I like to lightly brush color over for definition, but you only see my eyes -- if you like thicker, or bolder eyebrows, try to keep the main product thickness towards the center brows. This will HELP keep people's attention towards the eyes!

Anastasia Beverly Hills - Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette: Primavera + Vermeer (highlight shade - side of nose, brow bones, inner corners), Love Letter + Venetian Red (crease, lower lash lines; color was "simmered" with the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick)
Morphe Brushes - 25A Copper Spice Eyeshadow Palette: Shade 8 (crease, well blended), Shade 13 + 14 (inner v)

Since the shirt I was wearing is a beautiful and juicy toned red, I kept my makeup primarily in the pink spectrum. A few pointers for those seeking to make their eyes look bigger goes as follows:
*Stick with a highlight shade towards your brow bones, and towards the inner corners of your eyes. This draws light IN.
 * Make sure your highlight color of choice is complimentary to your undertone. I have neutral to WARM undertones, so I like to apply Primavera from Abh's Modern Ren. Palette first, with a bit of Vermeer to make the final color more golden!
*I have visible eyelids, so I play up on that empty space, and apply a highlighting shade, that has a SHIMMER, on the inner thirds to outer thirds, this way the texture plays off of light, and widens my eyes. This trick will work for those with hooded eyes, too!
*If you MUST use a crease color, choose something complimentary. For me, I look best in warm eyeshadow colors, so I dusted a warm light taupe into my crease, with a slight hint of red, which accents off of my eyes, and a smudge of definition with cocoa brown to redefine my upper, and lower lash lines.
*Drag whatever you have in the crease onto the lower lash lines. This will drag the eyes DOWN, and create a fully defined, and wide eye effect!

Laura Mercier - Caviar Stick Eye Color, Cocoa
Applied on the waterlines, and smudged slightly onto the upper lash lines
L'Oreal Makeup - Voluminous Carbon Black Volume Building Mascara
       Ciate London - Wonderwand Mascara
(Loreal builds length, Ciate builds extreme volume)

You can opt in for false eyelashes, but I found my round eyes look best without the lashes...took me long enough! If you have round almond eyes like me, false eyelashes that are too dramatic will stretch the eye shape horizontally, while regular coats of mascara will from all ends widen. If you have hooded eyes, you can of course use voluminous falsies, but I still think mascara looks best ;)

Warm Sienna Smokey Eye Makeup Look

Warm sienna is such a stunning shade for the smoldering, and upcoming season of Summer. It pairs with navy, rust, purple, and even with the most mesmerizing of colors, turquoise! Don't get fooled by just one season, however, my loves, this combination be worn ALL year around, especially in the Autumn. Moving aside from the chillier months, I myself am getting quite excited for sunny skies ahead, and have a bit of cabin fever from being ill two weeks ago, so getting back in the swing of things with a bold and smokey look definitely was FUN. How are you cuties enjoying the weather?

Just so you love bunnies know, during this look I was able to test out my new Jeffree Star Cosmetics Androgyny Eyeshadow Palette, and in the midst of formulating this makeup look, I also was able to test out my new Urban Decay Jean Michel Basquiat Lipstick in Epigram that I purchased about two weeks ago! There will be a review of ONLY the JSC Eyeshadow Palette, simply because I only purchased two products from the Urban Decay collection, and it would be a half done review. Anyhoo, I really hope you love bunnies enjoy :). All product details are listed below, with minor notes of placement!

Applied on my cheekbones, and on the sides of my nose! I noticed from not keeping up with
my skin care routine, my cheeks are ESPECIALLY dry, but the Aquaphor is helping tremendously.
Makes for a stunning glow, and quite natural glow, too ;)!
Urban Decay - Jean Michel Basquiat Vice Lipstick, Epigram (neutral sienna)

Anastasia Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade, Auburn
Jeffree Star Cosmetics - Androgyny Eyeshadow Palette: Charm (blended throughout the crease), Dominatrix (crease, to add definition), Deja Vu (on lids, but blended first with a fluffy blender, then applied damp with my finger), Frosting (brow bones, inner corners; applied with a Mac 224)
Laura Mercier - Caviar Stick Eye Color, Cocoa
Applied on the waterlines, and smudged slightly onto the upper lash lines

Simple Everyday Spring Makeup Look W/ Jeffree Star Cosmetics Masochist Liquid Lipstick

Hello, cutie kats! I want to thank each and every one of you guys for the love you've all been sending, it means the world to me. Every like, comment, and share truly warms my heart and shows me why I love to be the beacon of light I am for you bunnies!

For today we have a simple makeup look that enhances, and adheres to the color fuchsia. Particularly, I designed this look to pick up well under cool lighting conditions such as when the weather is icky, cloudy, or is in the midst of raining. Warm hues I tend to wear like the color orange, don't look as good under cool conditions, as compared a cool shade with some parts of warmth such as the color I am wearing in the photo above! This makeup look is meant to be basic, since such punchy colors are present, yet meant to make a statement, due to the vibrancy of fuchsia against my skin tone. Remember, makeup shouldn't be a task in the morning, it should be FUN! I hope you love bunnies enjoy and are having a splendid May 20th :).

Jeffree Star Cosmetics - Velour Liquid Lipstick, Masochist

Citrus Splash Makeup Look

Yet another stifling hot day here in NY! I wasn't about to sacrifice my well-off complexion for trying out NEW products, so I decided to take a cue from yesterday's Ariel inspired look, and from there, I spiced things up with a zesty orange twist. Orange is riddled throughout this look from my dress, to my lips, to even on my waterlines! Although this vibrancy of orange, and warmth of orange is not everyone's color, one can work around this by choosing shades of coral, or perhaps a more muted orange that fits their skin tone better. From my findings, by going back to my natural coloring, my orange lip color selection has warmed up, and increased in vibrancy. With my platinum highlighted blonde hair, my orange choice was either pastel orange or a juicy red-orange. Both, of course, don't fit me anyone, which makes me question if they ever did look "right", but c'est la vie, we live, we learn, right?! For those of you with darker skin tones, aim for either citrus orange's, sorta' like mine, but with more yellow added, OR aim for a zesty red-orange, that isn't "juicy", just the right balance between an obvious orange, with a bit of red added.

Ofra Cosmetics - Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick, Surfers Paradise
This is a true orange, with beautiful warm undertones, and a slight
gold shimmer, that is VERY subtle!
For those with light blonde hair try out Milani Cosmetics Sweet Nectar (bright orange, red tones), or Anastasia's Melon Lipgloss (pastel orange). For those with darker skin try out Milani Cosmetics Empress (HOT red-orange; will bring out any warmth in skin), OR Jeffree Star Cosmetics Flamethrower (neon-vivid orange that on skin tones with a lot of melanin will POP, and be extremely citrus like)

Anastasia Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade, Auburn
Anastasia Beverly Hills - Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Pallet: Vermeer (inner corners), Realgar (patted on waterlines with ring finger), Warm Taupe (dusted across the lids, and into the crease)

Ariel Inspired Lightweight Spring Makeup W/ Red Lipstick

As you love bunnies know, Ariel is my FAVORITE Disney Princess! She and I practically possess the same personality and, if I may, rather similar facial structures. Moving aside from that, today I decided to channel my inner Ariel, with an UBER easy spring makeup look fit with red lips, NO foundation, and a light coating of mascara to form beautiful fluffy lashes. The heat here in New York is unbearable, in fact, it's close to 91 DEGREES, so as you could imagine, less definitely was more in this type of humid weather. I truly hope you loves enjoy, and are having a fin-tastic day :)!

Anastasia Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade, Auburn
L'Oreal Makeup - Voluminous Carbon Black Volume Building Mascara
Urban Decay - Vice Lipstick, Temper
You can go for a rose red, or even a blue red, but I felt since warm toned reds look best on me, and the most "natural", I'd go with a long-time love of mine, Urban Decay Temper! The wear time on this bad boy is insane, and you'll be able to smile through the day due to the comfort matte finish.

Beauty Bakerie Cosmetics Lip Whips Review w/ Swatches (Gingersnap, French Toast, Louvre Palace)

As promised, here is the Beauty Bakerie Cosmetics Lip Whip review blog post! Nothing typed here is sponsored, and everything purchased is with MY OWN money. Opinions expressed below are stickily MINE, and are not influenced by the company in any way. Just want to make sure everyone viewing this is aware, and knows what they'll read below is pure gold, without a scratch mark to be found.

First off, I am new to the brand Beauty Bakerie! I thought, and still do think their concept is adorable, and quite intriguing. A cosmetic brand inspired by sugary sweets? HOW CUTE! They have complimentary products such as their Lip Whips (get it), that truly draw any buyer in seeking quirky, and fun new products to test out. I decided to go with their most popular selling product, the Lip Whip, since I felt I could do for a few fresh new set of liquid lipstick colors. Featured above is Gingersnap, French Toast, and Louvre Palace

Starting with the specs, Beauty Bakerie claims their product is long-lasting, smudge proof, as well as water-proof. It's a vegan product, that MAY cause stickiness if the product is not allowed to dry for an ample amount of time, or if the product is layered more than 3 times. Is any of this true from my experience? YES. Long-lasting, for sure, however I noticed the shades are patchy after a while. Smudge-proof, YES. I did notice it was difficult to remove even with coconut oil...see my swatches after removal above, and finally water-proof ties into everything else, it was resistant to water. Talking about formula, here is a copy and paste of the shade 'Gingersnap'.

"Isododecane, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclotetrasiloxane, Trihydroxystearin, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin [+/- (May Contain): Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Orange 5 (CI 45370), Orange 5 Lake (CI 45370), Red 6 (CI 15850), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Red 21 (CI 45380), Red 21 Lake (CI 45380), Red 22 Lake (CI 45380), Red 27 (CI 45410), Red 27 Lake (CI 45410), Red 28 Lake (CI 45410), Red 30 Lake (CI 73360), Red 33 Lake (CI 17200), Red 36 (CI 12085), Red 40 Lake (CI 16035), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Yellow 6 Lake (CI 15985), Yellow 10 Lake (CI 47005)]"

In my experience, EACH shade preformed differently. For example, 'Gingersnap', pictured above, and my favorite shade so far, not only had a different doe-foot applicator than 'Louvre Palace', and 'French Toast', it applied creamy, and thick. Only downfall would be Beauty Bakeries formula for liquid lippies is more drying than any other liquid lipstick I've tried before. 'French Toast', on the other hand, looked like concealer on my lips, and to be frank was annoying when it came to the second layer and still, everything was sheer, as well as PATCHY! The color 100% is DIFFERENT in person, than in the photos they show. In photos the color appears a medium toned nude, with strong warm undertones. ON me, the shade is a light custardy nude, that's just a wash out on me, since it creates no contrast against my fair skin. I'm saving French Toast, however, to use on darker brown lipstick for ombre's! Going to Louvre Palace, this color is GORGEOUS, and perfect for everyday wear. While the website claims it might look like a cool toned pink on some, for me it leaned a very WARM peach/salmon, and was JUST what I was seeking! I do suggest after the liquid dries to apply a thick balm, or sheer chapstick. You'll find the rubbing motion WILL NOT move the formula (no transferring), it'll just make sure fine-lines aren't AS emphasized!

When Beauty Bakerie says you must exfoliate, they're NOT kiddin', love bunnies! Any dry patches, or wrinkles from not being hydrated will SHOW. It's not really flattering, and probably the first time ever that I've had to put on a lip balm of sorts (Aquaphor) on, to smooth things out! Looking at the positives, the product formula does dry within a 3 minute period, and is transfer-proof, which most liquid lipsticks fail to pass in tests. Another positive is that the color range is spectacular, I just wish the applicators were consistent, and picked up more product. I believe GingerSnap's applicator is the reason behind why I had to do less work for application as compared to with Lovure Palace, and French Toast. The standard doe-foot's don't do justice to Beauty Bakeries Lip Whips! Above is swatches on my BARE lips, without any enhancements photo editing wise, and without any lip balm. Raw application, and swatches.

Overall I MIGHT be intrigued to buy another Beauty Bakerie product, however it must be a really amazing color for me to do so. This formula is not extraordinary, and it could use some nourishing help to soften the texture up just a bit! What do you love bunnies think? Jumping on the B.B. train? Let me know in the comments below.

My skin tone - Mac NC20; ABH Ivory
Favorite Liquid Lipstick Formula(s) - Anastasia Beverly Hills, Ofra Cosmetics, Dose of Colors
I prefer a thick, and creamy consistency that has BOLD color from the start!

Beachy Warm Orange Makeup Look

WELCOME BACK, EVERYONE! YES, it has been almost a week now since I've posted, but let me give those of you who've been busy, a bit of insight. Last week I had minor food poisoning, and ended up vomiting, plus excreting out my brains (no pun intended). As a result, I've been on and off feeling icky, hence why you cuties haven't seen me for such a long period of time! Luckily, today I feel rather "okay", and decided to play with some new makeup I purchased from over last weekend. As promised, after this blog post, there will be a review of Beauty Bakerie's Lip Whips, but for now, let's just get into the makeup details! It was SO much fun playing with my makeup again. I wanted to aim for something beachy, super wearable, yet semi-glam! No foundation, just splashes of color, and glowiness from Aquaphor (it has petroleum which can clog the pores, but since my skin is VERY dry from not keeping up with my skincare regime last week, it's REALLY helping to protect, and heal my skin). ALRIGHTY, let's get into details down below!

Ofra Cosmetics - Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick, Miami Fever
This burnt terracotta orange is GORGEOUS! Formula has a hydrating finish, too!!

Feminine Nude Pink Classy Makeup

Happy Monday, love bunnies! It's that time of month again where I wear no foundation, just a tinsy bit of glow. This helps the skin repair, while helping it not become so worn down from constant tugs, and pulls due to whichever tools you might be using (even sponges rub against and tug the skin)! Though not many are brave enough to sport a few redness spots, I myself follow the motto of being YOU and embracing everything about yourself to the bare bone. That being said, since I felt rather "Ariel" today, I created a feminine makeup look, fit for a princess! All products used are "cult" classics, which means many people have the what was used in this look. Hope you bunnies enjoy!

Foundation is a custom blend, I produced
2 parts of coconut oil, and foundation pigment.
Anastasia Beverly Hills - Liquid LipstickPure Hollywood + Blush
Sephora Collection - Ulta Shine Lip Gel, 03 Natural Look (center lip)

Anastasia Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade, Auburn
Anastasia Beverly Hills - Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Pallet: Primavera + Vermeer (highlight shade - side of nose, brow bones, inner corners, inner third of lids, cheek), Tempera (lids, applied heavily)
Too Faced Cosmetics - Chocolate Bon Bons Palette
Almond Truffle (crease), Cashew Chew (transitional shade)
Laura Mercier - Caviar Stick Eye Color, Cocoa
Applied on the waterlines, and upper lash lines
- smudged to create the effect as though I applied darker eyeshadow on my lower lashes.
L'Oreal Makeup - Voluminous Carbon Black Volume Building Mascara
Try to only define the top lashes to look elegant, and on the other hand, try to define both the upper and lower lashes for a full on lashy dramatic look!
