Top 4 Medium to Dark High End Brand Autumn Lipsticks (Swatches)

Mornin' love bunnies! Remember my "Top 4 Light to Medium Mac Autumn Lipsticks" post, and how I said a medium to dark MAC lipstick blog post will go out the following week? Well, after realizing all my "DARK" Mac lipsticks are red, I decided a variety brand choosing was the better choice.  Besides the fact, many of the colors pictured below, I happen to wear on a daily basis, unlike my Makeup Art Cosmetics lippies! Do be noted a thorough explanation as to WHY I chose these 4 out of the many I own will be provided, along with an ingredients list, and background information behind each brand.  This actually was quite fun to create collage wise, and I noticed you beauties enjoyed my previous take with the Mac lipsticks, as some of you purchased Shy Girl, and my favorite, Creme De La Femme! On a different note, when it comes to what you shall expect for the month of October, think more Halloween tutorials, and a bit more recording since I've been lax YouTube wise. Hope you all enjoy, XOXO, your Lilz!

Just like the provocative lipstick name, this shade WILL NOT disappoint! Marketed as a "deep rosy brown", almost any complexion can pull this bad boy off, and rock it for hours to come. Surprisingly, for only $12.50, wear time wise lasts anywhere from 3 hours with constant talking, to 7 hours, with minor chitter chatter! Sephora claims this specific line of lipstick has hydrating properties, though I cannot verify this for you loves since my lips are never chapped, I will say the extremely THICK formula says it all. For those transfer proof and bleeding lip hunters, let me alleviate SOME of your fears! Number one, cream lipsticks ALWAYS transfer.  Number two, luckily, this one stays in place all day long, so you won't have to fret about grapevine lips! Please be aware SPF is not provided in this, or frankly ANY of the lipsticks mentioned here, or below, but this is due to a personal preference since I am HIGHLY allergic to artificial sunscreen, and anything higher than SPF 20 in makeup products. Ever have a pimple on your lips? Yeah, been there, done that. Quite painful might I say.

Too Faced never disappoints! Melted Fig, apart of an INSANELY pigmented bunch of liquid lipsticks, is one of my favorite colors. Well...DUH, it's apart of this "top 4" blog post! Oh, Lilz. Rosy Orchid (how Fig is described) is a tricky shade, since on complexions with greyish hues, this might wash you out! On the other hand, looking past the color itself, the formula is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Think of a lipstick, that literally was melted, then poured into a container with up to 8 hour lasting power. As being a huge fan of squeeze tubes, the container actually is quite convenient for on the go touch ups, if needed, because whether you use a brush, or the actual fluffy applicator, color glides on instantly! Now, a downfall is that in warm lighting this shade turns COMPLETELY into a rosy brown with slight grey undertones.  Interestingly, under cool lighting, as pictured above, it transforms back into a mauve like shade! Def something you beauties should TRY ON in the store.

La Boulversante is one of those shades that has an advertising picture completely different than it the actual color appears, and applies. I actually thought this color (click the Chanel link) was a muted brick, little did I know, this medium toned fiery red, is much brighter than expected! Although I don't mind this flaw, to some it's quite important, especially when investing in a lipstick more than $30.00. Formula wise, Chanel isssss on it! Gliding on smoothly, and defining one's lips beautifully, it truly is a beauty. Neutral to warm reds always scream FALL to me, hence why I chose this shade, but, again, as said in the previous lipstick paragraphs, choose from what'll compliment YOU best! To clarify, Chanel describes this lipstick as "a lipstick as soft and comfortable as velvet. An alternative to shine that dresses lips in deep colours. A real second-skin effect. " Second-skin effect, correct, however do be noted wear time IS LIMITED! You will have to reapply during the day, as it's not quite matte.

Audrey should honestly be marked NUMBER ONE! With such a fine texture paired with powerful pigment, this my friends is what makes a lipstick.  I find Audrey to be one of the more sensual shades out of the bunch, but it can be an everyday shade, if you play it up correctly! A huge issue I have with the Audacious line is wear time. DESPITE the color gliding on instantly, and lasting quite a few hours, it does enable grapevine lips (bleeding), and has terrible shifting attributes! Possibly this is due to the uber hydrating formula, but nevertheless, it still holds close to my heart. Easily paired with grungy smokey eyes, and colorful shades of purple, and even green, I consider Audrey an investment worth EVERYONES while! Being I am NC20 in Mac shades, which is viewed as neutral to warm undertones, I do speak for the NC range, but as being a makeup artist, I speak for the masses in the factor give Aud' a try. It's muted enough to wear out with some winged liner on a daily basis, and dark enough to yield sexy vibes! Think of it as a go-to transitional from day to night. Your welcome for planting that idea in your mind :)!
