September is already productive, would ya' look at that! Being we're much closer to the Autumn season than ever before, I figured I would show you beauties one of my FAVORITE everyday eye shadow pallets that works beautifully for the transition from Summer to Fall. Milani's Everyday Eyes Powder Shadow Collection, specifically their 05 Earthy Elements pallet, featuring a total of 6 unique hues from terra-cotta to earthy taupe is such a stellar pallet for ONLY $9.99 dollars, and it fits the warm season well! Backtracking just a tad-- YUP, professional quality at only $10.00 total (it's best to round up with cosmetics). According to Milani's website they claim the following, "a first-of-its-kind eye contour and highlight collection. Each Everyday Eyes Powder Eyeshadow Collection comes with six richly pigmented shades and a step-by-step guide...", although I used this eyeshadow pallet as I pleased, I suppose for beginners the ideals of contouring and highlighting one's eye is rather indulging, besides the fact the product contains a look book label, thus once again a beginner can easily copy and transcend the shadow to their lids! Do be noted this review is strictly based on current experiences with the eyeshadow pallet, and previous experiences for comparison reasons. All products were purchased with MY OWN money with no influence hindering, hence you can feel satisfied this review is as good as gold :)!
Above I have provided you love bunnies with THREE diverse shadow styles! One, a cut crease, the second a smoldering smokey eye, and the third an everyday sandy hued orange makeup look to prove the versatility of this pallet. Aside from this, how are the shadows quality wise without the bluff is probably what you're wondering as you read, fret not, we shall enter that domain riiiighhtt now! First off, if you own any Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Pans, think of the matte's this pallet contains similarly to those textures-- creamy, bendable, easy to build up, AND dimensional, not a flat shade. I believe a major concern for many pertaining to matte's in specific is fallout! Too set the record straight, fall out WILL occur if you load your brush up with pigment and dust away with side to side motions, however, when applied properly the Milani Everyday Eyes Pallet is ON PAR with high end brand products. Classifying a high end brand product is a whooolllle other story, however concisely said high end brands SHOULD encompass highly pigmented and highly bendable formula's that stay put, and don't fade away during the day, with or without a primer! As far as the shimmering shades go, each are VERY pigmented and load up with glitter and shimmer particles SANS fall out (view swatches above) extremely well. Into wet/dry formula's? Though not advertised as this, I wet shade 6 to try it out as an eyeliner and long behold, liner awaited! Kinda craving the Morphe 35O? Why bother when you get essential shades half off the price?! Does anybody REALLY use more than 10+ shadows a day during the morning hours? Okay...don't answer that...actually, I won't answer that, MOVING ALONG.
Here is the step-by-step how to list Milani provides their customers with under EACH and EVERY Every Eyes Pallet:
Sweep BASE color across lid from lash line to brow bone
Step 2: CONTOUR
Apply CONTOUR shade under the brow bone, blending from inner to outer corner
Step 3: COLOR
Tap LID color onto center of lid, blending well
Step 4: DEPTH
Apply CREASE color to outer corner blending through crease
Step 5: BRIGHTEN
Tap SPECIALTY shade lightly on inner corner of eye
Step 6: DEFINE
Apply LINER color close to upper and lower lash lines
Color, depth, blah blah, girl, do what makes YOU happy! Like I said earlier, if for any reason you FEAR color such as the orange hue this pallet contains, then I'd highly recommend following the list, but other than that, there truly are endless combinations. Think about it. Sand with orange popped with a bit of bronze! OOO! OOO! How about a completely shimmering lower lash line with a matte cinnamon hue across the lids and a warm toned rustic bronze in the crease?! WHAT ABOUT this pallet being a day to night pick me up? You have your light colors, and dark colors, why not?! Smoothly working my way into portability, this product easily fits into a variety of purses and looks sleek whenever touch ups are needed. The only downfall I'd say is there is NO mirror provided, only a double sided brush, though the brush is rather good considering how most brands put in cheaply made sponge tipped applicators! If I have peaked your interest in purchasing this product, please view the ingredients list below. As being one who reacts to MANY items on the market, the ingredients list is a godsend!
